Musician Aaron Carter has announced that his fiancée Melanie Martin is pregnant with the couple’s first child. The news comes nearly one year after the couple experienced a miscarriage in June of 2020. Aaron explained in a YouTube live video at the time, “She suffered a miscarriage due to stress conditions. We’re gonna give it some time, let her heal and then we’re going to try again. We both want that. I gotta take care of her.”
Aaron shared an IGTV video to his Instagram account that shows sonogram pictures of his little one. He revealed that Melanie is about 8 weeks along in her pregnancy and, as he mentioned in the video, it’s not twins. Aaron is a fraternal twin sister, Angel Carter.
Aaron and Melanie made their relationship official in January 2020 when Aaron shared a picture of the couple together for the first time. A few months later in March, the couple was involved in a domestic dispute. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department was called to Aaron’s home on the evening of March 29 for a domestic violence call. Melanie was taken into custody and held on $50,000 bail. The charges have since been dropped.
Since then, the couple has appeared to be quite happy. They became engaged in June of 2020. Melanie shared a picture of her hands with a bedazzled engagement ring on her finger to announce the news.
