Earlier this week, Robert De Niro revealed he had secretly welcomed his 7th child. The news came out while he was doing press interviews for his upcoming movie About My Father. Little was known about his new arrival at the time, but now the Oscar-winner is opening up about his newborn.

During an interview this morning with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, the Amsterdam star revealed details about his new child, a baby girl. The actor welcomed his daughter with his partner Tiffany Chen, a martial arts instructor. The couple’s daughter was born on April 6th and they chose to name her Gia Virginia Chen De Niro. Gayle shared that the couple is “over the moon” about Gia’s arrival and also shared the first image of the couple’s newborn.

Robert’s impromptu baby news was revealed during an interview with ET Canada this week. In talking about his children, the interviewing said, “I know you have six kids,” followed by the actor correcting her saying, “Seven, actually. I just had a baby.” Gia joins the De Niro family with Robert’s six other children: Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, 27-year-old twin sons Aaron and Julian, Elliot, 25, and Helen, 11. He shares his oldest children with his first wife Diahnne Abbott, his twins with his ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith, and his fifth and sixth children are from his 20-year marriage to Grace Hightower.

Congratulations again to Robert on the arrival of his seventh child! We hope he is enjoying having a newborn in the house again.
