Actress Brittany Daniel, who rose to fame in the 90s starring in the series Sweet Valley High with her twin sister Cynthia, has opened up about starting her family. Brittany welcomed her first child on October 24, 2021, all thanks to her twin sister.

In an interview with People Magazine, the sisters opened up about Cynthia donating her eggs to Brittany in order for her to start her own family. “We are so intertwined,” Brittany shared. “Everything that’s hers is mine and everything that’s mine is hers.”

After The Game star went through a harrowing battle with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, she learned she might never be able to have children on her own, Cynthia didn’t hesitate to donate her own eggs to her sister. “I saw it as such a simple gift I could give to her,” Cynthia shared. “I know Brittany would do it in a split second for me. And we’ve always shared everything, so why not this?”

Brittany and her husband, Adam Touni, welcomed their daughter Hope Rose Touni on October 24, 2021, via surrogate. “Our hearts are bursting with joy,” Brittany wrote when announcing the arrival of her first child. “It’s been a long road to get here but we always remained hopeful that we would one day become parents. Thank you @adam.touni for being an unbelievably supportive partner and now dad. Thank you to our surrogate who carried our baby so beautifully. Hope, we love witnessing who you are, just as you are. We love you!”

After Brittany and Adam tied the knot in 2017, they started in-vitro fertilization treatments using Cynthia’s eggs. After three unsuccessful attempts, Brittany felt lost. “I thought I might have to wrap my head around not being a mom in this lifetime. I fought so hard to get there, and I was so scared it wasn’t going to happen.” The couple opted to try surrogacy, which was successful. Both Brittany and Adam were in the room when Hope was born. “I just let out this primal cry,” Brittany recalled of meeting her daughter. “The entire room was bawling because they just all knew what we had been through.”

On being a mother, Brittany shared that “it’s better than I ever thought it could be. My sister made my dreams come true.” Congratulations to Brittany and Adam on the arrival of baby Hope and a huge thank you to Brittany and Cynthia for sharing their story!
