Musician John Osborne of the country music duo Brothers Osborne has become a father! John and his wife Lucie Silvas, a singer and songwriter, have welcomed boy-girl twins. “We did it y’all.”
Yesterday, John shared a picture of himself in the hospital wearing a gown, mask, and hairnet alongside the caption “It’s go time,” to tease that his newborns would soon be arriving. Just 12 hours later, the “I’m Not For Everyone” singer was sharing the birth of his children. The couple welcomed a son named Arthur and a daughter named Maybelle just one minute apart, with Arthur arriving at 1:43 AM and Maybelle at 1:44 AM. “Welcome to this crazy world, Arthur and Maybelle. It’s going to be a wild one. @luciesilvas – You’re a damn boss.”
John and Lucie announced their pregnancy last November at the CMA Awards. At the time, the couple shared, “We are so excited. It is such an amazing thing to be in this position to be growing two babies. When you think that you may never have the chance to have children and then suddenly you’re going to have two, it’s amazing.”
To become parents, the couple went through a long journey with in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Lucie has shared with PEOPLE last year, “We went through a very long, tough journey with IVF to get to this point,” Lucie shared with People. “We had an embryo transfer where we transferred two embryos thinking that would give us a better chance of getting one [baby], but we got two. I think deep down, we were hoping for two.”
