Grammy-winning record producer Calvin Harris is a dad! The DJ took to Instagram to announce the birth of his first baby with his wife Vick Hope. The radio presenter announced she was pregnant with the couple’s first baby in April.
The musician shared a picture of himself sitting outdoors with his baby on his chest to share the news. Calvin, whose real name is Adam Richard Wiles, shared that he and Vick welcomed a baby boy on July 20th and chose to name him Micah. “20th of July our boy arrived,” the “This Is What You Came For” producer wrote in his caption, “Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah.”
The record producer’s Instagram post also featured some insight into his son’s birth and the family’s post-partum journey. Vick welcomed Micah in a home birth and the couple saved her placenta, which Calvin included an image of in his post. He also appeared to show that the couple had turned the placenta into pill form, a practice that some new moms choose to do after welcoming their baby to enjoy the nutrients of the placenta.
Calvin, who previously dated singer Taylor Swift, got engaged to Vick in May 2022. He asked her to marry him in London at the Chelsea Flower Show. The couple tied the knot one year later in September 2023 in a full weekend event on the grounds of Huline Priory, Alnwick, Northumberland.
