Country singer-songwriter Sam Hunt is growing his family once again! At a concert in Las Vegas last night, the “Body Like a Backroad” singer revealed he and his wife Hannah Lee Fowler are expecting their second child. The news comes less than one year after the couple welcomed their first child.
At the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, Sam shared the news of his second child. He also revealed that his wife and their daughter, 10-month-old Lucy Lu, were with him for the weekend. He is scheduled to perform again tonight. No details about the little one were revealed, including Hannah’s due date or the baby’s sex.
This news is not the first time the “Make You Miss Me” singer has announced family updates on stage. He announced the birth and name of his daughter in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium last June. Sam shared, “It’s amazing how that little girl melted that all away overnight a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been filled with a lot of gratitude these past couple of weeks.” Last year, news broke that Sam and Hannah, who have been together off and on since 2008, were expecting shortly after the latter had filed for divorce from the country singer. On the divorce filing, Hannah cited “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery” as reasons for their separation.
In May of last year, it was reported that the couple was working on their marriage. A source shared with ET at the time, “Sam and Hannah are working on healing their relationship. They’re very excited to be welcoming their baby girl together and focused on that. Sam has been putting the work in and making sure that Hannah feels comfortable, safe and trusts him. He is acting protective over their relationship. He has been careful to make sure that things aren’t being misconstrued or that he is putting their relationship in any sort of jeopardy. He’s aware of how sensitive the situation is and doesn’t want to hurt Hannah.”
