Reality stars Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young) and Tarek El Moussa announced earlier this month that they were expecting their first child together. Today, the couple learned the sex of their little one in a gender reveal party and shared the exciting news on Instagram.

The Selling Sunset star and her new husband were joined by loved ones, including the HGTV star’s two children from a previous relationship, where they stood in front of a decorative sign that read “boy or girl” surrounded by blue and pink balloons. Everyone shot off confetti poppers to reveal blue confetti. It’s a boy! “Baby boy El Moussa 💙” the couple captioned in their joint video. The couple’s son is due to arrive early next year.

Last week, Heather shared a post opening up about her “Dream man, miracle baby,” writing, “If you know us, you know our journey has been far from ‘normal’ so of course our pregnancy story is the same. I’ve been really open about my pregnancy journey-we’ve been doing IVF and went from having 7 frozen eggs to being told we were only supposed to get 2 follicles to then being able to get 8 to… having an all natural pregnancy. You just never know what life has in store for you. You can plan and try to make things happen all you want but what’s meant to be will be so to me, our baby is a miracle baby – the odds were definitely against us but all that matters is that it happened… I just can’t wait to hold her/him in my arms.” Heather had shared when announcing their news that the pregnancy “was a huge shock.”

Heather and Tarek began dating in 2019 and tied the knot on October 23rd of last year. While this new baby boy is Heather’s first child, their son will be Tarek’s third. He shares two children – Taylor and Brayden with his ex-wife and co-host of the HGTV series Flip or Flop Christina Hall.

Congratulations to Heather and Tarek on the news of their baby boy! We wish them all the best as they prepare to welcome their first child together.
