Surprise! Today show host Hoda Kotb has adopted a baby girl!
Hoda made the announcement on Today, calling in to share her big news, saying, “She’s a Valentine’s baby…she is the love of my life.”
Hoda’s new addition is named Haley Joy. The name Haley is of English origin, meaning “from the hay clearing.”
She noted that her mother joked, “we’ve waited so long for you.”
Hoda’s Today show family was surprised by the announcement, with only Matt Lauer and Kathie Lee Gifford knowing the news ahead of time.
Matt noted, “This little girl Haley is the luckiest girl…you’re going to be one of the most fantastic moms I can ever imagine.”
Her co-host, Kathie Lee commented, “We are thrilled for you. You were made to be a mom.”
