Olympic snowboard Jamie Anderson has grown her family! The athlete and her fiance Tyler Nicholson, a fellow snowboarder, announced the birth of their second baby together. “The most beautiful experience we ever had together.”
The snowboarder took to Instagram to announce the birth of her second baby, who was born at the couple’s home in Whistler, Canada. The Olympians, who have been together since 2015, welcomed a daughter on April 11th and chose to name her Nova Sky Nicholson. Nova joins the family with the couple’s first baby Misty Rose, who was born in March 2023.
Jamie detailed her birth experience in her announcement, referencing her first birth with Misty. “We prayed and set intentions of having a graceful birth as welcoming Misty Rose took nearly three days and was the hardest thing I’ve ever done… After wanting a natural home birth w Misty and ending up in the hospital w a epidural which wasn’t my intentions I really wanted to experience a natural, physiologiacal & unassisted birth, and I’m so thankful we got to have that with baby Nova.”
On how the experience ended up going, the Olympian wrote, “It was the most beautiful experience we ever had together, we’re still in shock of how it all went down! Feeling so grateful she is here, we’re all healthy and all went perfectly well. We are stronger then we know & the human body is absolutely incredible, especially when you believe and let go of fear.”
