Little Fires Everywhere star Joshua Jackson is expecting his first child any day now with his wife, actress and model Jodie Turner-Smith. Joshua spoke with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest yesterday on Live with Kelly and Ryan and shared that both Jodie and the baby are healthy. They’re “figuring out how to deal with interacting with doctors and hospitals right now and just managing the stress.”
One thing the Dawson’s Creek alum and his wife have been doing to help get through the stress is with board games! After doing a lot of binge-watching, the couple turned to board games to pass the time. They played a lot of Monopoly but lately, Jenga has been their go-to game. Joshua joked that the game “brings out some ugliness in people” and pointed to himself.
As this will be Joshua’s first child, he consulted with his Little Fires Everywhere costars and fellow parents Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington. He shared, “Both of them were incredibly helpful. Both of them are not just actresses, but they run their own companies. They’re both mothers. They’ve integrated their family life and their professional life in a way that seems very healthy.”
We wish Joshua and Jodie a stress-free next couple of days as they prepare to welcome their first child into the world.
