Congratulations to model Kate Upton and her husband, baseball pro Justin Verlander — they welcomed their first child together last week!
Kate took to Instagram to share a sweet black and white photo of their sleeping baby girl and revealed their little one’s name. She captioned the pic, simply: “Genevieve Upton Verlander 11.7.18.”
The name Genevieve is of French origin, meaning “woman of the people.”
Justin shared the happy news as well on his Instagram account, writing: “Welcome to the world Genevieve Upton Verlander. You stole my [heart emoji] the first second I met you!!! 11.7.2018.”
Kate and Justin were married in Italy in November 2017 and Kate announced her pregnancy in July.
