Earlier this year, Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker, announced that she and her partner Will Lindsay were expecting their first baby together. Now, Kelsey has shared a sad update on the couple’s little one.

In a text-based Instagram post, Kelsey shared that her and Will’s baby was stillborn. “Born sleeping, forever loved.” The post accompanied a poem for the couple’s baby, and she also shared the name they gave their little one: Phoenix. The poem started, “The world grew quiet as you arrived / So love, so longed for, yet not alive / Our precious boy, our angel light / Born with wings, took silent flight.” She went on to share the meaning behind her late son’s name. “We named you Phoenix, brave and bright / A soul of love, of warmth and light / Though we never heard you cry / You’ll live in hearts that won’t ask why.” The last stance in the poem read, “No breath you drew, no eyes to see / Still, you mean everything to me / You’ll journey with us, softly near / In every sigh, in every fear.”

Following her post, Kelsey took to her Instagram Stories with a message signed by her family. “Before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heart-felt well wishes, I want to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share,” she began before continuing to ask for privacy. “But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news.” She ended with the message, “I love you all and thank you for your understanding and space.”

In 2022, Tom passed away from an inoperable brain tumor. Kelsey and The Wanted singer share two children together: a daughter named Aurelia and a son named Bodhi. Our thoughts are with Kelsey, Will, and their family during this difficult time.
