Comedian Kristen Wiig and her fiancé, actor Avi Rothman, have welcomed twins! The babies were born earlier this year via surrogate.

The news comes from an Us Weekly exclusive, a month after Wiig hinted at motherhood during Saturday Night Live in May when she said, “This is the Mother’s Day show, and at SNL, it’s a very special time to celebrate moms. Unfortunately, probably like a lot of you, I can’t be with my mom on this Mother’s Day. So, I hope it’s OK, I would like to tell her I love her.” The twins are the first children for both parents and no further information, including names, have been released.

Kristen and Avi began dating three years ago and announced their engagement in August 2019. The pair were first connected in May 2016 on a trip to Hawaii together.

Kristen was previously married to actor Hayes Hargrove from 2005 to 2009 and dated The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti from 2012 to 2013. In 2011 Wiig said in Stella magazine, “I probably won’t ever get married [again]; it’s not something that I would want to do.”

Congratulations to Kristen and Avi, we wish your family all the best!
