At the end of May, country singer Chris Lane and his wife Lauren Bushnell, a reality star, announced that they were expecting their third baby together. Now, the couple has revealed their baby’s sex. “We are so excited to meet you.”
In joint video posted to Instagram, the couple sat on a blanket in the yard of their home to prepare to learn the sex of their baby. The couple’s sons, Dutton and Baker, joined in on the announcement. The former Bachelor star held a plate of four cupcakes and asked her family to make their predictions. Lauren and her sons guessed boy while the “Mistake” singer thought girl. The family took bites into the cupcakes to reveal pink frosting. It’s a girl!
Earlier last month, the reality star posted a video sharing Old Wives Tales predictions for her baby’s sex, with the majority of the criteria pointing to a baby boy. When the family learned of the news in the video, their son Dutton exclaimed “Daddy was right!” He also asked “what should we call her?” and then suggested “Maui.” The couple’s daughter is due to arrive in November. The singer and his wife welcomed Dutton Walker in June 2021 and their son Baker Weston was born one year later in October 2022.
The “Hold You Tonight” singer and Bachelor alum were friends before their relationship turned romantic and they started dating. They publicly shared in November 2018 that they were dating and Chris proposed to Lauren in June 2019. The couple enjoyed a short engagement before tying the knot in October 2019 in a backyard wedding ceremony at Chris’s family home in Oregon.
