World no. 2 ranked tennis star Andy Murray and his wife, Kim Sears, have welcomed a daughter named Sophia Olivia.  Sophia is the first child for the couple who married in April of 2015.

Bookies were taking bets on the choice of the child’s name before the announcement was made. The top contenders (all incorrect) were Freya, Alexandria, or Elizabeth.

Murray is the current men’s singles Olympic champion.  He took home the gold at the 2012 Olympic Games; the first British to do so in over 100 years.

Murray’s next match will take place on March 4th, when he and his British teammates will defend their Davis Cup title against Japan.
