Singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor has announced the exciting news that she is expecting her first child with her husband, actor Daryl Sabara.
The “All About That Bass” singer made the announcement on a surprise appearance on the Hoda and Jenna segment of The Today Show. Meghan was discussing her upcoming Christmas album when she shared, “It’s all Christmas here but there’s other news that I’m dying to tell you and my heart’s pounding out of my chest. Hit it, Daryl.” Her husband proudly revealed, “We’re pregnant!”
Meghan shared just why she chose to share the news with Hoda and Jenna. “I was thinking about who do we tell first and I’ve told Hoda since I was 19, going to the Today show, ‘I will have the most babies in the world.'” Meghan has co-hosted with Hoda a few times over the years.
Moments later, Meghan posted the news to her Instagram page in a very appropriate Christmas style announcement! She placed a sonogram picture inside a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. She wrote, “You all know how long I’ve wanted this!!!! Daryl and I are so beyond happy and excited to meet this little cutie early next year! WE’RE PREGNANTTTTT!!!”
Meghan married the Spy Kids actor in an intimate backyard ceremony in December of 2018 after dating for two years.
