Actress Millie Bobby Brown is a mom! The Stranger Things star and her husband Jake Bongiovi have announced the arrival of their first baby together. “And then there were 3.”
The couple announced their baby’s arrival in a joint text-based post on Instagram. They shared that they welcome a baby via adoption and revealed their baby’s sex. It’s a girl! They did not reveal the name of their little one. “This summer,” the couple wrote, “we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
In March, the 21-year-old actress discussed becoming a mom during an interview on the Smartless podcast. “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19,” she shared. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me. Jake knows how important [having a family] is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she went on. “It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.” During the interview, she even hinted at her openness to adopt. “It is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”
The couple’s baby news comes one year after the two secretly tied the knot in May 2024. The Electric State star and Sweethearts actor first sparked dating rumors in June 2021 after the actor posted a selfie with the Netflix star. Millie revealed in 2022 that the two first connected through Instagram and were “friends for a bit” before their relationship turned romantic. On Valentine’s Day this year, the Enola Holmes star posted a throwback picture from their wedding at Villa Cetinale in Italy and gushed, “happy valentines to the most handsome husband that’s ever lived. I love you more than anything.”
