In November of 2020, model Jessica Hart welcomed her first child with her fiancé, race car driver James Kirkham. The couple chose an unusual name for their little one and now it’s causing a bit of drama with a friend.
Jessica and James chose to name their daughter Baby Rae Kirkham. While Baby is an unusual name, Jessica shared that she chose it after the titular character in the popular ’80s movie Dirty Dancing.
There was one person in Jessica’s life who was less than thrilled about the name of Jessica’s first child: her friend Sasha Benz, an entrepreneur. Sasha welcomed a child with her partner DJ Oli Benz in 2018, a baby girl they named Baybi. In December, Sasha posted a picture of Baybi on her Instagram page with the caption, “the one and only.”
At first, the name choice caused a rift between the two friends. Luckily, the two have patched things up. “Of course Jess and I are still friends,” Sasha shared. “We chatted it out a few weeks back, and I am happy she has a name she loves for her beautiful girl. This is her moment and I want her to enjoy this beautiful part of becoming a mother.”
We’re glad the two friends were able to patch things up and hope that Baby and Baybi can grow up to be great friends.
