Mickey Guyton, country music singer and songwriter and mom-to-be, took the stage at the ACM Awards and absolutely dazzled in her performance!

Last night was the 55th annual Academy of Country Music Awards at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. What makes this moment so incredibly special for Mickey and thousands of country music fans is that she is the first-ever Black woman to perform at the awards show. And, she did it while pregnant! Talk about a powerful performance!

Mickey performed her single “What Are You Gonna Tell Her” while country music star Keith Urban accompanied her on the piano, who also hosted the award show. The beautiful song addresses the injustices faced by women, people of color, and the LGBTQ community, through the eyes of a parent trying to explain those injustices to their child. It sounds like motherhood is already inspiring the songwriter!

Mickey announced last month that she was expecting her first child with her husband attorney Grant Savoy in 2021.

Congratulations to Mickey on this incredible achievement. She truly is an inspiration. We wish her all the best in her career and as she prepares to welcome her little bundle of joy into the world next year.
