President Joe Biden is a great-grandfather! The president’s granddaughter Naomi Biden has welcomed her first baby with her husband Peter Neal. First Lady Jill Biden announced the little one’s name on Instagram.

Naomi gave birth to her first baby today, on January 8th, and the little one weighed 10 pounds, 4 ounces at birth. Naomi and Peter welcomed a baby boy and named him William Brannon Neal IV. Jill Biden announced her great-grandson’s name alongside a picture of her and the president holding the little one at the hospital. “We are proud to introduce you to our great-grandson.”

Naomi, the daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle, announced her pregnancy on Instagram Stories on Election Day last year. She showed off her growing baby bump in a mirror selfie and added her voting sticker to her bump. President Biden spoke about becoming a great-grandparent in an interview with USA Today. “I’m about to be a great-grandfather, Jesus God.” He also revealed in the interview that Naomi planned to deliver her baby via c-section.

The lawyer and her fellow attorney husband met through a mutual friend in 2018 in New York City. They dated for three years before Peter proposed in September 2021. The couple went on to tie the knot in November 2022 on the South Lawn of the White House in a private ceremony. The nuptials marked the first time in nine years that a wedding took place at the White House, and it was the first occasion where a sitting president’s grandchild was wed on the property.

Congratulations to Naomi and Peter on the birth of their first baby!
