Professional swimmer Ryan Lochte has announced that he and his wife, model Kayla Rae Reid, are growing their family! The couple is expecting their third child together, due next June. “Lochte baby #3 on the way, in June again of course!”

Ryan and Kayla shared a joint post on Instagram to reveal the news. The post featured a video of the couple with their children on a beach set to the Mariah Carey song “Always Be My Baby” covered by Tim Halperin. The 12-time Olympic medalist has two children with Kayla: son Caiden Zane, 4, and daughter Liv Rae, 3. Both Caiden and Liv were born in June and now their third child is due in June. Summer is definitely an exciting time for the Lochte’s with soon-to-be three birthdays in June, Kayla’s birthday in July, and Ryan’s birthday in August.

In 2020, the former Playboy model opened up about growing her family with and this third child might not be the last for the couple. “We’re probably going to have a third baby, maybe four.” The gold medalist then explained Kayla’s reasoning for wanting four children. “This is where she’s like, ‘If we have a third one, we can’t have an odd number. So you have to have four.’ I’m like, ‘All right, I guess so. You’re the mom.'”

Ryan and Kayla are rumored to have begun dating in early 2016. It wasn’t until September of that year that he officially revealed that Kayla was his girlfriend. He referenced her in a post following his first appearance on season 23 of Dancing with the Stars. The couple tied the knot in September 2018 in an intimate, outdoor wedding in Palm Springs, California at Morrow Ranch.

Congratulations to Ryan and Kayla on the news of their third child! We wish them all the best as they prepare to grow their family next year.
