Competitive swimmer and 12-time Olympic Gold Medalist Ryan Lochte had a lot to celebrate on the heels of Father’s Day this year. His wife, Kayla Rae Reid, former Playboy model, gave birth to the couples second child, a baby girl, yesterday morning.
The couple each announced the birth of their daughter on their Instagram accounts, gushing at the beautiful miracle. They named their daughter Liv Rae Lochte. So sweet!
Liv joins her brother, Caiden Zane into the family of four. Kayla commented that “Caiden’s reaction was an absolute cherry on top.” And, in Ryan’s post, Caiden, who was born in June 2017, looks absolutely elated to become a big brother.
Ryan and Kayla, who met on Instagram, were engaged in October 2016 after just a few months of dating. Ryan says he knew she was the one after their first date. They tied the knot in January 2018 in a courthouse ceremony in Gainesville, Florida. The couple renewed their vows in September of that same year in a lavish wedding at Morrow Ranch in Palm Springs, California, surrounded by 100 of their family and friends.
When the couple announced their pregnancy on Instagram in November, Ryan hinted at his next Olympic adventure by simply including the hashtag #tokyo2020 in the caption. The Olympian is set to compete in the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. He is very excited to bring his family along with him.
