Reality stars Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk have welcomed their first child together. The couple, who met and fell in love on season four of Bachelor in Paradise, announced that their little one arrived on January 18th at 3:33 am, weighing 8.6 oz and measuring 21in long at birth.

It’s a boy! The couple had previously shared prior to their son’s arrival that they were expecting a boy. They chose to name him Gates Zev Gottschalk.

Adam shared how the couple came to the decision on their son’s name in his announcement post. “Gates was a name we picked out randomly one night while on a date and it stuck so well. It is also tribute to Raven’s maiden name. Zev is a name of Hebrew origin which means Wolf – also my great grandfathers name.” Raven delivered Gates via cesarean, “In a wild turn of events,” she wrote, “from pushing to an emergency C Section Gates Zev Gottschalk was born.” Of his wife’s delivery, Adam wrote, “Raven was a trooper through it all. I have a love for you even more that I never knew I had.”

The new mom opened up about motherhood in her announcement, “What was life before him??? I can’t recall. So many of you told me ‘seeing your child for the first time, it’s a feeling you can’t explain.’ You all were so right! I may tell the story of his birth later. But for now, I’ll hold off and just soak in these precious moments with him now that we are home. I was in such great care with my very caring OB Dr. Holt, amazing nurses, support from mine and Adams families- and you all!! But the most comforting part of all was looking into Adam’s green eyes knowing we were in this together. Many things could of went wrong but God heard my prayers. My sweet baby is healthy. I am very blessed! We are officially home as a family! .. Boaz included 🖤🤍.”

Congratulations to Raven and Adam on the arrival of their first child! We wish them lots of love as they embrace their new role as parents to baby Gates.
