Singer Rihanna is officially a mom! The Fenty Beauty founder has reportedly welcomed her first child with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky. A source close to the couple shared with People that they are at home in Los Angeles with their little one.
“Rihanna is doing well,” the source revealed. “They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom.” TMZ has reported that the couple welcomed their first child on May 13th and that they had a baby boy. No further information, including his name, has yet been revealed.
The Diamonds singer announced her pregnancy at the end of January of this year. She and the rapper were spotted in Harlem where Rihanna showed off her baby bump, which was covered in jewelry. Since announcing her pregnancy, Rihanna has become a pregnancy fashion icon, breaking away from traditional maternity wear. She has been spotted on the red carpet, at events, and in public proudly displaying her bump in style.
The singer opened up about her pregnancy fashion with Vogue last month and how she approached her style during this exciting time. “At first I expected some magical change, but really I remain who I am. I think I even say yes to more now because I know it will be different on the other side of this. When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle. I’m sorry—it’s too much fun to get dressed up. I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing. I’m hoping that we [Rihanna and her stylist] were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women. My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?”
