‘Jersey Shore’ Star Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola and Partner Justin May Reveals Sex of 1st Baby
In February, reality star Sammi Giancola announced that she and her partner Justin May were expecting their first baby together. Now, the Jersey Shore star, known by her nickname Sammi Sweetheart, has revealed the sex of the couple’s baby. “We love you little baby and can’t wait to meet you.”
Sammi learned the sex of her baby on the Seaside Boardwalk in New Jersey alongside her Jersey Shore: Family Vacation co-stars. The reality star shared with PEOPLE about the moment, “It’s just so iconic because me and my roommates, we’ve basically grew up here in Seaside and also me and Justin met here in Seaside. It’s just very sentimental, meaningful all around.” While on the boardwalk, the couple was surrounded by pink and blue balloons and a flower heart before cannons shot up powder in the color associated with her baby’s sex. It’s a boy!
The reality star shared that she “had a feeling” her baby would be a boy, but she would have been thrilled either way with her baby’s sex. “I think we were just happy to have a healthy baby,” Sammi shared. “We didn’t care about gender at all, but we kind of had a feeling what it was.” As for how the couple expects of life with a son, Sammi’s fiance shared, “I can’t wait to just play sports. Teaching my kid, coaching the Little League teams and stuff. It’s going to be exciting.” Sammi responded, “That makes my heart melt,” before sharing her thoughts. “Yeah, I’m just happy to have any baby. To be honest. I’m like, it’s a boy. I’m one of three girls, so I have two sisters. So for me, it’s very exciting to have a boy.”
When announcing her pregnancy, the Sweetheart Coast boutique owner shared that she struggled with infertility before getting pregnant. “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could possibly ask for!” Sammi and Justin, who have been engaged since March 2024, will welcome their son in August.
