Singer Jennifer Wayne of the country music group Runaway June has announced the arrival of her first child! Jennifer and her husband Austin Moody, a fellow country music artist, welcomed their little one on April 18th.
Jennifer, who is the granddaughter of late film star John Wayne, shared a series of images on her Instagram page to announce her baby’s arrival. It’s a girl! The couple named their daughter Lily Maria Moody. “We love you so so much,” the singer wrote in her caption. Austin shared an announcement on his page as well with the caption, “Escaped from the womb! Wanted for stealing mine and @jenniferwayne hearts. Goes by the name of Lily Maria Moody. Everyone is happy and healthy, thankful for our new addition.”
The couple announced last November that they were expecting their first child together. The “Buy My Own Drinks” singer revealed her daughter’s name and gender at the time of her pregnancy announcement. “We can’t wait to welcome Lily Maria Moody to our little family!!!!”
Jennifer and Austin met five years before they began dating in 2020 and became engaged at the end of that year after just six months of dating. The couple wasted no time getting married and tied the knot the following month in January 2021. They were wed in a small, intimate ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple plan to host a large ceremony in Nashville to celebrate with more family and friends.
