Singer-songwriter Joss Stone has announced that she and her partner Cody DaLuz are expecting their second child! The news comes about six months after the “Right To Be Wrong” singer suffered a miscarriage, which she shared before announcing her pregnancy.

Joss shared an emotional video on her Instagram page to share that she was expecting where she began with a story of suffering a miscarriage in October 2021. “Last year, in October, I lost a baby,” she shared after revealing she had both happy and sad news. Tearily, she went on, “It was really horrible because it was my baby, and I know that a lot of women go through that. It was just hard. I went to the doctor and said, ‘Why has this happened?’ and he said, ‘We don’t know why Joss. These things just happen, just by the luck of the gods. It’s not your fault.’ I kept pressing him for an answer why, and he didn’t know.”

Joss wanted to open up about her experience because she knows that she’s not alone. “We shouldn’t feel alone, it happens to a lot of women. It’s a horrible, horrible thing. And it’s not something you can get over. It’s something that you have to live with.” Her doctor asked her to come back in the spring for a wellness check, to which Joss replied that she will see him “when the daffodils bloom.” The video then showed a clip of a video Joss had made for her doctor, where she showed daffodils in bloom and then held up a positive pregnancy test. “That’s the beautiful part of the story,” she shared, “There are rainbows after storms.”

Joss and Cody welcomed their first child, a daughter named Violet, in January of 2021. Congratulations to the couple on growing their family! We wish Joss good health in her pregnancy.
