Actors Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton are growing their family! The All of You star announced the news ahead of her red carpet appearance at the SXSW festival in London. She shared the exclusive news with British Vogue.
For her first debut of her baby bump for her second baby, the actress wore a sleeveless sky-blue silk gown with frill details. The gown was worn beneath a cape in matching fabric and the entire look was designed by Emilia Wickstead. On working with the designer to share this news, Zawe shared with Vogue, “We met years ago at the British Fashion Awards when she dressed me and we attended together. We had the most fabulous night and instantly felt like kindred spirits. We aligned so much on fashion and womanhood, and I’ve always loved her designs. They embody a seamless blend of classic and contemporary, and she’s also just an incredible craftsperson. You feel the level of detail that goes into every piece when you wear them.”
The Marvels star went on to explain how the ensemble gave her confidence for the evening ahead, “I feel like I’ll be very held on an evening where, as an expectant mother, you can feel a little bit exposed.” She’s also eager to share her and the Loki star’s baby news. “I think that every time you step onto a red carpet, there’s a really unique opportunity to express your authentic self, your individuality, your creativity, and celebrate where you are at in that moment. I’m really grateful to Emilia and her team, and can’t wait to reveal this look!”
The actors first started dating in 2019 after they starred together in the Broadway play Betrayal. However, the notoriously private couple didn’t reveal they were together until September 2021 after making their red carpet debut at the Tony Awards. News of the couple’s engagement came out in March 2022 but the couple has yet to reveal whether they’ve tied the knot. In October 2022, the couple welcomed their first baby in 2022 but haven’t shared any details about their little one including their baby’s name or sex.
