Singer Tori Kelly and Athlete André Murillo Expecting 1st Baby Together: ‘So Grateful’
Singer-songwriter Tori Kelly is going to be a mom! The “bottomline” singer and her husband André Murillo are expecting their first baby together. “We are just so grateful for what’s to come.”
The Grammy-winner shared her baby news in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. “This year has already been full of highs,” the singer shared, referring to her current European tour with Ed Sheeran. “Getting to perform in stadiums all summer, writing the most personal songs of my career and now getting to start a family with my amazing husband.” On how she and André are feeling about their news, she shared, “We are just so grateful for what’s to come and can’t wait to meet this little gift from God.”
In addition to her interview announcing the news, the “Never Alone” singer released a video snippet of new music about her baby news. The video was filmed at their home and on a beach. The lyrics included, ““Only you know me / Mind and my body / Riding with you down this road / We got forever to go / When we get closer / And when I hold ya / You make it feel just like home / And there’s no one here but you and me / We’ve been through it / Yeah, we been everywhere and in between / Yeah, yeah / Making the complicated easy / Felt every kind of feeling / Passed every test / Boxes, checked.” And finally, she lovingly sang, “I’m ready for what comes next / Let’s make a baby.”
The “Paper Hearts” singer started dating the basketball player in 2016. In September 2017, the couple announced they were engaged. They went on to tie the knot in May 2018 in a private ceremony and Tori shared that her wedding was “the most magical day ever.”
