Reality stars Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs, who met and fell in love on Bachelor in Paradise, have taken on new roles: parents! The couple has announced the arrival of their first baby together, with Thomas making an Instagram post to reveal the news.
To announce the news, Thomas didn’t share any images of his newborn or his partner. Rather, he shared a cute image of the couple’s front door that showed off their new role. In a downward angle, the camera showed a welcome mat that read, “Baby Sleeping, please don’t ruin this for us” and a sign beside the doorbell that read, “Shhh… baby is sleeping.” To caption the post, Thomas simply wrote, “Home,” but added a blue heart emoji, signifying that the couple welcomed a son.
Following Thomas’s post about the couple’s new arrival, Becca shared a formal post introducing her little one to the world. She shared photos of the newborn and the couple together in the hospital. The reality star revealed the couple named their son Benson Lee Jacobs Kufrin and he was born on September 21st. Becca also detailed the meaning of each of Benson’s names. “Benson, Benny for short, is after the town where my father was born and raised. Lee is for Thomas’s father who sacrifices so much for this country and others. And Jacobs Kufrin is pretty self explanatory but we wanted both parts of us to make this little one whole.”
Of her son’s arrival, Becca said their son, “cracked our hearts wide open.” She continued, “No amount of words can begin to capture the amount of love and awe we have over this tiny man. We are forever changed with this one’s abundance and can’t believe we are parents to this gift.”
Becca and Thomas announced in April that they were expecting a baby, sharing that they would become a “Party of 5,” which included their two dogs Minno and Leo. “Little Bebe, we can’t wait to meet you, hold you, and watch you grow,” they wrote in their joint Instagram announcement post. “We already love you to the moon and back.”
The couple met during season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, and while they initially hit it off, they had broken up by the season finale. However, the two rekindled their romance in October 2021. They became engaged in May 2022 with Becca proposing to Thomas. The engagement made Becca’s third as she had previously been engaged on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette to Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Garrett Yrigoyen, respectively. In October of that same year, Thomas planned his own proposal to Becca. At the time, she shared, “The thought, care and excitement that he put behind his proposal meant the world to me.” The two have not yet tied the knot.
