Country musician Kane Brown made a surprise announcement last night to ring in the new year. He and his wife Katelyn welcomed their second child together! “Secrets finally out,” Kane wrote on his post. “New year, new family member.”
Kane and Katelyn managed to keep their pregnancy a secret and have welcomed a baby girl! The couple chose to keep the theme of “K” names for the family and named their second daughter Kodi Jane. Kodi was born on December 30th in Nashville. She weighed 7 lbs, 9 oz and measured 20.5 inches long at birth.
The “Worship You” singer and his wife welcomed their first daughter in 2019 and named her Kingsley Rose. The family celebrated Kingsley’s 2nd birthday in October with a Minnie Mouse themed party.
In March, Kane spoke with People on how fatherhood and his daughter changed him for the better. “I know when I get home and I’m exhausted, just holding her makes my day completely better. I have learned to be patient, and I’ve also learned that there’s true love. And if anybody ever got between me and my daughter, I don’t know what would go on. She’s super chill. Kind of like me, just laid back. And if she gets mad, she’s super easy to cheer up real quick.”
Kane and Katelyn first met in 2015 through mutual work friends. They dated for eight months before becoming engaged on Easter in 2017. They tied the knot in October 2018 at the Mint Springs Farm in Franklin, Tennessee.
