In 2022, TV personality Kelly Osbourne welcomed her first baby with her partner Sid Wilson, a member of the band Slipknot. The couple had a baby boy and named him Sidney after his father. Kelly recently opened up about changing her son’s name.

Kelly appeared on her family’s The Osbournes Podcast, which she hosts alongside her parents Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and brother Jack, this month and revealed that she and Sid fought over what to name Sidney, specifically using two surnames for the little one. “This is personal, and I didn’t expect to ever talk about this,” Kelly began in the podcast episode, “but I’m going to. It’s the biggest fight me and my baby’s father have ever ever ever had, and probably ever ever will.”

The former Fashion Police host went on to share, “I wanted our son to have both of our last names, and he wouldn’t let me. We had a huge fight. I feel that I was forced into doing something I didn’t wanna do and I can never ever ever forgive him for that, but we can move on.” Kelly revealed that she and Sid have now come to an agreement on the matter. “So right now my son doesn’t have a double-barreled last name, but after lots of eye-opening conversations and some couples therapy, he has seen the light. We are going to legally change our son’s name to have both of our last names.”

Ozzy and Sharon were thrilled with the news, with the Black Sabbath lead vocalist commenting, “Well, it’s in his [Sidney’s] favor.” Kelly added, “We both made our child, so he should have both of our last names.” Kelly first met the musician in 1999 when his band played at Ozzfest and the two maintained a friendship for over 20 years before evolving into a romantic relationship. The two began dating in 2021.
