Reality star Khloé Kardashian welcomed her second child with her ex-partner Tristan via surrogate last July. The couple had a son and kept quiet about his name for some time. The name was leaked earlier this month but now, The Kardashians star has made an official confirmation about her son’s name.

During the premiere episode of The Kardashians, Khloé was being interviewed in a confessional when she was asked about her son’s name by a producer. “His name is Tatum. So, Tatum and True,” she shared, mentioning her first child with the basketball player. Their daughter True was born in 2018.

The reveal of her son’s name confirmed previous reports that were shared earlier this month. An anonymous source shared with The Sun that Khloé and Tristan named their son Tatum Robert. Tatum’s middle name is in rememberence of Khloé’s father Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003. During the episode, Khloé expressed her difficulty in deciding on a name. “Naming a human is really hard,” she confessed. Khloé has previously discussed naming her son during an interview with Jennifer Hudson. “At first, I really did not know what I was going to name him. I wanted to meet him, feel him out a little bit. So at first he didn’t have a name.”

The Good American co-founder also opened up in the episode about how expecting her second child was different from her first. With True, Khloé carried her own pregnancy but with Tatum, she used a surrogate. “I definitely buried my head in the sand during that pregnancy,” admitting that she “didn’t digest what was happening. And so I think when I went to the hospital, I really think that was the first time that (it) really registered.” She went on to share that it had “nothing to do with the baby. It’s just you’re like, ‘OK, we’re having a baby, and this is my son, and I’m taking him home with me.'”

Opening up further about her experience, she confessed, “I definitely was in a state of shock, I think from my entire experience in general. I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby and I take the baby, and then I go to another room. And you’re sort of separated. I felt it’s such a transactional experience because it’s not about him.” Khloé’s sister Kim Kardashian had also welcomed children via surrogate. Her two youngest children with her ex-husband Kanye West – daughter Chicago and son Psalm – were born via surrogate. Khloé admitetted that she “wish[ed] someone was honest about surrogacy and the difference of it. But it doesn’t mean it’s bad – it’s still great. It’s just very different.”
