Mindy Kaling Welcomes First Child!
Mindy Kaling is a mom! The Mindy Project actress welcomed her first child, a baby girl, on December 15, according to a report from E! News.
Mindy chose a beautiful name for her new addition: Katherine Kaling. Katherine is Greek, meaning “pure.”
In August, Mindy spoke with the Today show about her upcoming role as a mom, saying, “I’d like to be the fun mom, I know I’m gonna be the dorky mom. So if I can be kind of fun too, I think that would be nice.”
In October, she confirmed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she was expecting a girl, explaining, “I am not waiting. I wanted to know way early.”
Mindy hasn’t revealed who the child’s father is.
