Earlier this month, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Monica Garcia announced she was pregnant with her 5th baby. The news was revealed during a podcast interview with Nick Viall on the Viall Files. Now, the reality star has shared a sad update on her pregnancy.

Monica took to Instagram to update her followers on her pregnancy, beginning the caption of her post writing, “One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible. I would show you my life in all aspects because that is what I agreed to do.” The post was accompanied by two black and white images, one holding her partner’s hand and another of Monica on a hospital bed looking at a sonogram. She continued, “Unfortunately, today I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect. ‘There is no heartbeat’ I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself.”

When Monica announced her pregnancy, she revealed that it took her by surprise. She referenced the unexpected pregnancy writing, “As quickly as this happened, that’s how quickly things have changed.” She ended her post with a message of support and gratitude. “I am sending so much love to everyone dealing with miscarriages, fertility issues, pregnancy problems, if you have an angel baby, and everything in-between. I am so grateful for my incredible doctors and amazing support system. I am so blessed to have all of you in my corner and I appreciate how beautiful you all have been to me about this baby. I love you and I’m so thankful for you.”

Our thoughts are with Monica, her partner, and her family during this difficult loss.
