The wait is over… Prince William and Kate Middleton have revealed their newest addition’s name!
Kensington Palace shared the highly anticipated royal baby name today, announcing: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”
William and Kate’s third child was born on Monday. Prince Louis joins his older siblings Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2.
The name Louis is of German origin, meaning “famed warrior.”
His official title, according to royal historian Marlene Koenig, Town & Country reports, is His Royal Highness Prince Louis of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
