Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, who portrayed the role of Ronald Weasley in the franchise, has taken to Instagram for the first time to introduce the world to his first child!
The actor, who previously had no social media pages, is finally on Instagram. On his first post, he shared, “Hey Instagram….only 10 years late, but here I am.” The proud father’s first post features his baby daughter and he finally reveals her name: Wednesday G. Grint.
Rupert welcomed his first child back in May with his long-time girlfriend actor Georgia Groome. The couple had managed to keep their pregnancy a secret for nearly the entire nine months. It was April when the news was finally revealed after the Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging star was spotted with a growing baby bump while shopping with Rupert in North London.
Rupert and Georgia have been dating since 2011, the same year the final movie in the Harry Potter franchise premiered. They have managed to keep their relationship very private. Over a year ago, the couple sparked marriage rumors when Georgia was spotted with a gold band on her left-hand ring finger. To date, nothing has been confirmed whether the couple is married or engaged.
We are thrilled that Rupert has decided to join the world of social media and share his daughter with the world! We hope Rupert, Georgia, and Wednesday are settling nicely into family life and wish them all the best!
