Nick Carter of the boy band Backstreet Boys has announced the arrival of his third child. The musician previously eluded to the news that his wife, Lauren Kitt, had given birth a few days ago when he asked fans for prayers for his wife and newborn as there were some minor complications. Now, he’s happy to report that Lauren and their little one have made it home!
Nick and Lauren have welcomed another girl to the family! They have not yet shared the name they’ve chosen for her yet. Baby girl joins the Carter family with two siblings. Nick and Lauren welcomed their first child, a son named Odin Reign, in April 2016. They had their first daughter in 2019 and gave her the name Saoirse Reign. Perhaps the couple will continue the tradition and give their newborn the middle name of Reign as well!
The couple announced in January that they were expecting again. The news came as quite a shock! Lauren was five months along in her pregnancy before she knew. She hadn’t experienced any symptoms. One reason Lauren didn’t suspect she was pregnant was that she was not supposed to be able to have any more children. “There was just no way that I could be pregnant, from just my medical history and the things that I did to ensure that I just had my two children,” she shared at the time.
Nick didn’t go into detail about the complications related to his daughter’s birth. He did, however, share a message of thanks to the hospital workers. “I would like to thank the amazing doctors, nurses, & staff at @southernhillshospitallv NICU for taking such good care of our baby. We know it’s not easy, especially during this time. We are so grateful for everything you’ve done for us 🙏🏻 @laurenkittcarter and baby are home and doing well.”
