Actor Scott Speedman has announced the arrival of his first child! The You star revealed that he and his partner, Lindsay Rae Hofmann, welcomed a baby at home on October 26, 2021.
Scott and Lindsay are the proud parents of a baby girl! They have chosen the name Pfeiffer Lucia Speedman for her. Scott, who recently became a series regular on the popular series Grey’s Anatomy, shared two touching photos of himself with his daughter. In one image, he lying beside her, gazing at her. In the second, he is holding Pfeiffer in his lap. He captioned his announcement with a shoutout to Lindsay. “Pfeiffer Lucia Speedman. Born at home 10/26/21. In awe of my girl @lindsayraehofmann. Awe.”
Lindsay shared her own announcement post that featured black and white photos of the couple’s newest arrival. In her caption, she wrote, “Pfeiffer Lucia Speedman. Our beautiful daughter was born at home on October 26th at 8:33am weighing 6.6lb.” The designer also shared the reasoning and meaning behind the two names the couple chose. “Pfeiffer, for her heart to always feel connected to the nature and sea & Lucia, to forever be our little ‘light’.” She ended her caption by revealing a nickname they will use for Pfeiffer. “We love you little Pfeiff.”
The Felicity alum opened up last month with People about becoming a father. “I’m tremendously excited. I probably wasn’t ready as a younger guy, and now I’m ready to sort of give over to it. The timing just feels great. I have no idea what’s coming,” Speedman added. “But everybody says that having kids changes your life. And whatever that means, I’m excited to find out.”
