American Idol alums Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner have added another bundle of joy to their family! The couple announced the arrival of their third baby together. “Our third baby arrived earth side early this morning, at home. Another life to love and cherish.”
The couple, who announced in August 2023 that they were expecting, welcomed a baby girl on February 17th. Cade and the “Growin’ Up Raising You” singer named their daughter Ivy Josephine Foehner, and shared her nickname is Ivy Jo. The image accompanying the announcement showed baby Ivy’s feet curled into a blanket. Not showing their newborn’s face follows the trend the couple has with sharing their children online, as they refrain from showing their faces to maintain their privacy.
Ivy is the couple’s second baby girl. The “Glory Days” singer welcomed her first baby with Cade, daughter Baylah May, in January 2021. The couple’s second baby, a son named Augustine Boone, was born in October 2022.
Gabby and Cade met in 2018 while they were both contestants on American Idol and started dating during the show’s run. The couple became engaged the following year in March 2019 and enjoyed a short engagement, tying the knot in October of the same year. In celebration of their 4th wedding anniversary, the “Baby, Let’s Do This” singer wrote on his Instagram, “Another inestimable privilege of taking this girl out on a date to celebrate 4 years in covenant. Could I thank the Lord enough for the days with you, my dear Wife? I think not. So may I thank Him simply and often for the daily grace of sharing life with you.”
