Actor and musician Darren Criss has grown his family! The Glee star took to Instagram to announce the birth of his second baby with his wife Mia Swier. “M & D just delivered their follow-up single.”
Darren shared an image of his newborn wrapped in a swaddle resting on a baby pillow while the couple’s first child held sunglasses over the baby’s eyes. The little one was even smiling in the picture. The Broadway star and his wife welcomed a baby boy on June 3rd and chose to name him Brother László Criss. To confirm his moniker, the singer added to his caption, “…and yes his first name is Brother.”
The “Welcome to Heaven” singer announced his wife was expecting a baby last December with a humorous image of the family photoshopped onto a promotional poster for the film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Darren and Mia share one child together, a daughter named Bluesy Belle born in April 2022.
The couple first met in 2006 but maintained a platonic friendship for nearly 4 years before becoming romantically involved. They got engaged in January 2018 and tied the knot the following year in February 2019 in New Orleans. On the couple’s 5th wedding anniversary, the singer took to Instagram to share a rare personal message about his love for Mia, even addressing, “I don’t enjoy talking about my personal life publicly. It’s not my style and I try to avoid it wherever I can.” The American Crime Story star went on to share, “It’s not that we’ve been married for 5 years so much as it’s been 5 years since not only one of the best decisions I ever made, but 5 years since the greatest party I ever threw to celebrate the long lasting partnership that led to that decision. And so on the anniversary of that decision, I’d like to state how deeply grateful I am for Mia and all the wonderful things she’s given my life. It just keeps getting better and better, as I find myself loving her more and more every day.”
