Model Iskra Lawrence is a mother of two! The Aerie model and her partner Philip Payne have announced the birth of their second baby together. The couple announced in April that they were expecting a baby.
Iskra posted a series of photos of her and Philip with their newborn. The couple welcomed a baby girl and while they didn’t share her name, the model did give a hint to her daughter’s moniker. “She’s here P.P.” The little one’s name likely starts with a P. Of her daughter’s birth, the model wrote, “Our daughter joined us at 3.56am here at home. 8 lbs 14 oz of preciousness, our hearts are exploding with gratitude.”
The model and the music producer first met at a Grammy’s party in January 2018 and began dating shortly after. In her post, Iskra shared a touching message to her husband writing, “Thank you my rock for being by my side @philipapayne can’t believe we finally have our daughter and a sister for big brother.” The couple welcomed their first baby together in April 2020, a son named Alpha. In August, the model shared an image of her and Alpha on the beach and gushed about him becoming a big brother. “[Alpha’s] going to be the best big brother and I’m going to be a puddle seeing it happen.”
When announcing her pregnancy, Iskra partnered with First Response to give away $20,000 to couples struggling to conceive to help alleviate the financial burden. In June, the model posted a video of her sharing the news to the winners. In her post, Iskra wrote, “Why is it so important we reduce the shame surrounding infertility, improve access to information and demand more research for reproductive health? Because of the 1 in 6 couples who struggle to conceive and the 1 in 4 women who will experience a miscarriage or pregnancy loss. It’s crucial that we foster a supportive environment and have open conversations about this often overlooked issue, that causes a huge impact in so many of our lives not just physically and emotionally but also financially.”
