Actress Amber Heard is growing her family! A rep for the Aquaman star revealed that she is expecting her second baby. While it wasn’t confirmed, the actress is likely expecting baby number two via surrogate, as she is unable to carry her own children.
In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, a spokesperson for the In the Fire star shared, “It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage. Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and [her daughter].” No other details about Amber’s second baby were shared, including their due date and sex.
The Rum Diary star welcomed her first baby via surrogate in 2021, a daughter named Oonagh Paige. Amber chose the name Paige to honor the actress’s mother Paige Heard, who passed away in May 2020. The actress hadn’t revealed she was expecting a baby prior to Oonagh’s arrival.
When announcing she became a mom, Amber opened up about her choice to welcome a baby on her own terms. “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.” Of her daughter’s birth, The Stand star shared, “She’s the beginning of the rest of my life.”
Congratulations to Amber on the news of her second baby!
