Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola is going to be a mom! The Jersey Shore star announced that she and her partner Justin May are expecting their first baby together. “We’ve been keeping a little secret..”
The reality star took to Instagram to share images of her and Justin holding sonogram images to announce they were expecting a baby. While Sammi didn’t reveal the sex of her baby, she did share that her little one is due to arrive in August. She also alluded to struggling with infertility before conceiving writing, “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for! We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all!” Sammi ended her post writing excitedly, “Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby! .”
Sammi’s fellow Jersey Shore cast members took to the comments to celebrate her news. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi wrote, “So so so happy for you both!!! You deserve it all my loves!!!” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino commented simply, “Congratulations ,” and his wife Lauren also expressed her excitement writing, “my heart is so happy for you both!!! ♥️ congratulations! .” DJ Pauly D gushed, “Sam And Justin Are Pregnant!!!!! ❤️.”
The reality star has spoken out about her struggle to conceive and mentioned a pregnancy loss during an episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation last November. The couple had gone through in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and while Sammi got pregnant, she suffered a miscarriage. “This has been a very long process,” she shared in a confessional on the show. “It’s been a lot of shots, it’s been a lot of hormones. Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away. It’s devastating for me.” Sammi has also shared how Justin, who asked the reality star to marry him in March 2024, has been a rock during their IVF journey. “He’s so positive and uplifting. He’s so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He’s been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him.”
