“The Well” singer and his wife shared a video of the couple sitting on a blanket outdoors with their dog Bailey. In front of them was a wicker box that held a collar for Bailey in the color that coincided with their baby’s sex. The couple opened the box together to expose a blue collar. It’s a boy! The singer’s mouth dropped open in shock and excitement and he pumped his fist at the news of his son while Katie giggled and placed the collar on Bailey. The video ended with the couple embracing in happy tears.
One day before announcing their pregnancy news, Katie shared a video going through common gender myth predictions to see how her pregnancy symptoms lined up. Some of the predictions included baby’s heart rate, the Chinese calendar, salty or sweet cravings, and moods. Overall, most of the predictions sided with boy, but not all of them so it looks like some of them lined up for her.
The couple shared their pregnancy news on Valentine’s Day with a love-themed photoshoot announcing the news. At the time, they shared that their baby was due on August 8th. The “Beautiful Soul” singer and his wife dated for nine years before the two got married in October 2021. They tied the knot in a ceremony in Carmel, California at the Santa Lucia Preserve.
