Actor Joey Lawrence is a father once again! The Diamond Rose star has announced the arrival of his third child, his first with his wife Samantha Cope, an actress. The couple welcomed their little one on January 16th.

Joey, most notably known for his role as Joey Russo on the 90s TV series Blossom, shared a touching image of himself and Samantha gazing down at their newborn, a baby girl whom they have named Dylan Rose Lawrence. “Mom, Dad and big sisters are all so smitten with you sweet girl!” Joey shares two older daughters, Charleston, 16, and Liberty, 12, with his ex-wife Chandie Yawn-Nelson.

Of Dylan, the couple wrote in their joint Instagram announcement, “We welcomed her into this world with the most amazing midwife, everyone is happy and healthy and we are overjoyed with gratitude 🙏🏼🤍 wow what a beautiful journey. thank you for all your continued love surrounding this beautiful new life! stay tuned for baby spam.” When Joey announced Samantha’s pregnancy on his Instagram page last September, which features a snap of the couple on the beach with Samantha’s bump in view, the Brotherly Love alum wrote, “The blessings just keep on coming.”

News of Samantha’s pregnancy came just a few months after the couple tied the knot. The two were wed in an intimate outdoor ceremony at Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, California. The couple met in 2020 while co-starred in the Lifetime movie My Husband’s Secret Brother. At the time, Joey had still been married to his ex-wife Chandie, though the two were separated. They would remain separated for two years before their divorce was finalized in February 2022, a few months before Joey and Samantha got married.

Congratulations to Joey and Samantha on the arrival of their first child together! We wish them lots of love as they welcome Dylan into their family.
