Actor Jordan Fisher has taken on a new role: father! The Dear Evan Hansen Broadway star welcomed his first child with his wife Ellie on June 7th. “What a journey this has been. We’re so incredibly blessed to finally meet our first born,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post.

To announce the news, the couple shared an Instagram Reel that featured snapshots of the couple throughout Ellie’s pregnancy and ended with images of the couple and their newborn in the hospital. They welcomed a son, whose gender they previously announced when revealing they were expecting. The couple named their first child Riley William Fisher. Riley shares a middle name with his father.

Last month, the couple shared maternity photos taken on the beach. Ellie captioned the photos on her account writing, “Pregnancy has been such a journey. I’m so in love with the man that’s with me on this adventure…if you couldn’t tell.” The To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You star announced his engagement to his childhood sweetheart in May of 2019. The couple intended to tie the knot in July of 2020, but their nuptials were delayed due to COVID-19.

In November of 2020, Jordan and Ellie, a clinical nutritionist, opted to get married in the most magical place on Earth. They tied the knot the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in a private Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding ceremony. The couple exchange vows, which they wrote themselves, on the back courtyard of the Cinderella Castle at the stroke of midnight. To celebrate their first wedding anniversary, Jordan shared a wedding throwback photo with the caption, “9 years of friendship…4 years of dating…1 year of marriage. i love you so much, ellie fisher. thank you for being my person. here’s to the next infinite years.”

Congratulations to Jordan and Ellie on the arrival of their first child! We wish them lots of love on their new journey as parents.
