Congratulations to actress and model Brigitte Nielsen, who just welcomed her fifth child, a baby girl, at age 54.
This is Brigitte’s first child with her fifth husband Mattia Dessi. Their daughter, whom they named Frida, was born on Friday, weighing 5 lbs. 9 oz, People.com reports.
The name Frida is of German origin, meaning “Peace.”
The couple told People: “We are overjoyed to welcome our beautiful daughter into our lives. It’s been a long road, and so worth it. We’ve never been more in love.”
In May, Nielsen announced that she was pregnant; on Father’s Day she posted a pic on Instagram of Mattia with his hand on her baby bump, captioning the cute photo: “You’ll be a great papà, Ti amo.”
Brigitte has four sons: Julian Winding, 34, Killian Gastineau, 28, Douglas Meyer, 25, and Raoul Meyer Jr., 23, from previous marriages.
