On her birthday last July, actress Gina Rodriguez announced that she was pregnant with her first child with her husband Joe LoCicero. After posting about being 40 weeks pregnant back in January, the actress has been silent on Instagram, save for posting promos for her new series Not Dead Yet. Today, Gina was spotted with her newborn baby, effectively confirming her little one has arrived.

Page Six obtained images of the Jane the Virgin star walking around Los Angeles with her newborn in a carrier strapped to her chest. A rep for the actress later confirmed that Gina had welcomed her first child. No details are known about her little one including their name, sex, or birth date.

In preparation for her little one’s arrival, Gina shared with The New York Times which songs were on her birth playlist. “I have a playlist of songs to listen to when I give birth. Several Mumford & Sons songs are on the playlist, including ‘Little Lion Man,’ ‘Awake My Soul,’ and ‘I Will Wait,’ They sing like they’re connected to the center of the universe. It makes me feel a sense of closeness to my ancestors, even though it’s not the kind of music my ancestors listened to.”

Gina and Joe met in 2016 on the set of Jane the Virgin and became engaged two years later in 2018. The couple tied the knot in May 2019. The Someone Great star doesn’t shy away from showing off PDA with her husband on Instagram. She will frequently post images of the two smiling brightly, gazing into each other’s eyes, or kissing alongside short, loving captions.

Congratulations to Gina and Joe on the arrival of their first child! We look forward to learning more about their little one, should they decide to share.
