In celebration of her 38th birthday, actress Gina Rodriguez shared some exciting news on her Instagram page. The Jane the Virgin alum is expecting her first child with her husband Joe LoCicero!
Gina shared a video on Instagram that features a video collage of the actress with Joe. The last clip showed Gina holding up a positive pregnancy test with tears in her eyes, Joe standing close behind her. “This birthday hits different,” the I Want You Back star captioned the video. Gina did not reveal how far along she was in her pregnancy or when her first child was due to arrive.
The comments of Gina’s post was full of well-wishes from fellow celebrities. Orange is the New Black star Danielle Brooks wrote, “Welcome to the club mama!!! 🎉” while Gina’s Someone Great co-star Brittany Snow commented, “Yaaaaaay my love!! So much love for you THREE.”
While Joe didn’t share an official announcement on his Instagram page, he did share a video of Gina to honor her birthday alongside the caption, “Wherever you go my heart follows. Happy Birthday my Goddess.” Gina sweetly commented on her husband’s post writing, “Me and baby love you, papa.” The couple met on the set of Gina’s show Jane the Virgin in 2016. They became engaged two years later in 2018 and tied the knot on May 4, 2019. For their third wedding anniversary, Gina posted a photo of the couple together with the caption, “3 years of marriage to my best friend. You are home.”
